The Odd Bureau Part 2 – Forgotten Folios Society
The letter I received in the mail last week was part 2 of 6 letters in a story series following a detective story in Vancouver. So far, I’ve been introduced to a British travel writer and, at the very end of part 1, a local private detective.
The pair had just met at the end of part 1, so I was happy to see them spend some time together in part 2 and get to know each other—and offer me the chance to get to know them too. Although I still cannot comment on character development or overall story—you’ll have to wait for part 6 for those comments—I will say that I’m very intrigued about where the story is going. The characters I’ve met thus far are interesting and seem multi-dimensional, which is a great feat for only having read 10 handwritten pages of the story.
Once again, I can’t wait to see the next piece in my mailbox. “The Odd Bureau” looks like it will continue to get more interesting with each piece, and they definitely have the cliff hanger effect mastered.
